Math Intervention

Our math intervention involves Fast ForWord (see video) and FASTT Math.

FASTT Math is a 12-15 minute a day software builds math fact fluency, by building automaticity.  The software starts by testing your child to assess their math fluency then in a methodical manner works on new facts, two at time, until they are automatic.

We offer Fairfield County and Westchester math help with our FASTT Math and Fast ForWord package, a math and learning intervention combination.  We work on sequencing, working memory and attention, all critical math learning skills.  And on math fact fluency, starting a different place for each student depending on their math fact fluency.

Our FASTT Math program is available in center and at home with a coach.

FASTT Math is a math intervention program (just as Fast ForWord is a reading intervention).  The research-validated FASTT system (Fluency and Automaticity through Systematic Teaching with Technology) helps all students develop fluency with basic math facts.  FASTT Math automatically differentiates instruction based on each student’s individual fluency levels in customized, 15-minute daily sessions.

Students are eager to build fluency in FASTT Math because of the targeted instruction, engaging practice games, and embedded motivators.

Recent U.S. Department of Education report to White House stated that math fluency is required for algebra.  The report details findings that math fluency lacking in our schools, partly due to movement in core curriculum away from dwelling on math facts.
