How We Help K-12

Our programs take advantage of brain plasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and change for better when exercised appropriately. We help the brain to rewire, to build new neural pathways that will "activate" new regions and make new connections. This activation leads to a more comfortable and effective learning style.
Every child who completes our program will experience some version of the "activation" shown in the fMRI picture. Read more.
We help a wide variety of students. Many come to us at or above grade level in their reading, but they do not enjoy reading. Others need reading fluency, vocabulary or comprehension help. We are also a resource for CT or NY dyslexia help, Asperger's help, auditory processing, working memory or attention issues.
We also offer a math fact fluency package, that combines learning-intervention power of Fast ForWord software with math fact automaticity of FASTT Math.
Our programs -- from our reading boost protocols for above grade level students to our Fairfield County and Westchester dyslexia help -- can be done at home or at a center with or without a coach. From our first Westchester learning center in Pelham, we have grown. We opened in Scarsdale, NY and a Fairfield County learning center in Old Greenwich. We are an alternative to New York or Connecticut tutoring -- we target the cause of learning issues, not the symptoms.

How We Provide An SAT Boost
Students work at home on a 6-10 week program. Students seeking a Fairfield County or Westchester SAT prep come to us for gains in:
- Processing speed
- Reading fluency
- Reading comprehension
- Attention stamina, or
- Avoiding careless errors, or impulsiveness.
Our brain exercising software is able to isolate and build these crucial test taking skills. By impacting the students learning power we can boost SAT scores and provide reading and learning gains that will endure. Learn more.

How We Help Adults
We offer the Brain Fitness program for mature adults, at our center in Pelham for an hour four mornings a week. (This program may soon be added to the offerings at our Greenwich learning center.)
As we grow older, our brains gradually lose speed, accuracy and recording strength for processing information from our senses. This results in a progressive loss of memory and other cognitive abilities. The Brain Progress addresses these issues.
The program targets auditory processing (listening) because so much of the important information we take in each day comes through speech. Read more.
