I couldn't do that

always "hated"

17 year-old boy
Before: I always felt reading and school was harder than it needed to be. I was also concerned that my SAT score was not going to be enough to get me into the college I am set on.
After: “I am reading a great book this summer that I am finding easy going. I am not sure if it’s the book or the program.” “He tried to read that same book last summer and could not get through it!” his mother added.A few weeks later we received this e-mail: “Thanks for all your attention to (my son). It seems to me that he is continuing a fast rate of growth in confidence with speaking, writing, reading, and SAT performance on practice tests. I'm so happy we decided to do this!" His SAT point gain was over 300 points.
10-year old boy (who was seeking Greenwich reading help)
Before: "I used to be one of the smartest kids in class but now it seems everyone can read better than I can."
After: “I tell my little brother reading is so much fun and books are exciting. I don't like to turn the light off at night. Mom is happy that I am happy again and that my spelling has gotten better also."

Before: "I don't like to read."
After: “I will read something and think to myself, 'wait, did I just read that?' I read the newspaper the other day, which is weird. I never used to be a reader. My grades are up and books seem a lot easier to read."
