Your child needs to be able to follow the teacher to learn the material during class and to accurately understand the assignment. If your child cannot process language at natural language speed, or if it is exhausting to do so, large parts of the daily lessons is being lost, either because your child is not keeping up or he or she is tuning out from the extra effort keeping up requires.
