Welcome to the Pelham center

My name is Nicole Amato.  I am the Center Director of Gemm Learning's Pelham center at 525 Fifth Avenue, Pelham NY 10803.

We are proud to be in our third year, offering our exciting new alternative to traditional tutoring.  We serve Ne Rochelle, Pelham, the Bronx and Mount Vernon from this location.

My interest in working with families and children started with a career in the field of Social Work.   After spending time witnessing the hardships children faced in the world, I wanted to make a more positive impact on children through education.  Once I became a certified teacher in the state of Connecticut, I spent time in the public schools and then moved on to a career with Sylvan Learning Center for six years. 

I was truly inspired by the story behind Gemm, as it is told on our website, and was impressed with the innovative approach Gemm takes in helping children reach their full potential.  Now that I am a part of the team, I am witness to how this program is truly making a positive impact for children and families which affirms my decision in joiningthis company. 

My goal is to continue to help as many children through our program at Gemm become the confident students I know they can be.
