Math Facts Fluency
ExploreLearning Reflex Math at Home
Reflex Math is an intensive school-based math facts fluency program. Gemm Learning is not a reseller for ExploreLearning Reflex as a stand alone service. The software is available to Gemm Learning clients only as part of our comprehensive home-based learning program.
We add Reflex Math to the protocol when requested, again for no extra charge, to help students of all ability levels to develop fluency with their basic facts in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Key Reflex Math Features
Reflex Math continuously monitors each student’s performance to create the optimal experience for every child. It ensures students practice the right facts at the right time for the most effective and efficient path to fluency.
Diverse, fast-paced games with rewards for effort and progress keep students motivated and coming back for more. It uses a range of computer game features to maintain interest.
The program monitors and supports your child’s progress with reports that track usage, milestones and fluency growth.
Across multiple grade levels and assessments, students who use Reflex Math are scoring higher and growing faster than their peers. For instance, starting out only 4 of 50 grade 3 students in a New Haven, CT school were fluent in multiplication and division—3 months later 41 were fully fluent. These kinds of results are being repeated across America
Who should use Reflex?
Any student in grade 2 or above who understands the basic concepts behind the operations (addition and subtraction, or multiplication and division) is ready to start working in Reflex.

Our Comprehensive Math Program
In most cases, difficulty in learning math facts points to deeper learning issues than just a math fact glitch. In fact, in many cases, difficulty with math is the first evidence of any kind of learning delay.
Hence, Gemm Learning only provides Reflex Math as part of an individualized math program or intervention that works on the cognitive skills required for math and in many cases, self paced math curriculum.
