Background/Education: Teaching internship and student teaching experience at the middle school level, certified secondary teacher in CT. Bachelor’s of Art in History with minor emphasis in Creative Writing and German Language from University of Redlands (CA). Master’s of Art in Teaching from Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT). 1 of 2 recipients of the Dean’s Leadership Prize from Sacred Heart (2010).
More about me: Born and raised in the Nutmeg State (CT). I live with my artist husband, our passionate young daughter, 3 large dogs, 1 cat, and many fish. I struggled in school due to being dyslexic and having auditory processing differences, which is why I’m so dedicated to this program.
What I want to be when I grow up: A woodworker, a furniture maker, or to have an animal sanctuary.
When I’m not at work: I am running races with my husband, bowling, playing with my daughter and our pets, attempting Pinterest crafts (which never come out quite right) and unsuccessfully keeping deer out of my garden.
